Who are you and what do you make?
I’m SJ Montana, a London-based videographer and creative director, and the person behind SJ Montana Visuals. My work covers everything from events and music to fashion, brands, sports and creative storytelling. What started as a passion for capturing moments gradually developed into something bigger, where I could bring my own creative vision to life.
What did you come in to create?
Rebirth was an editorial shoot featuring Maríma, created to celebrate her stepping into a new chapter of her life. The concept centred around the idea of rebirth: embracing a new age, leaving the past behind and starting afresh. Through multiple sets, different styles and creative direction, we wanted to capture the different sides of her personality and reflect the possibilities that come with a fresh start.
Why these sets?
The variety of sets allowed us to explore different moods and visual styles, with each setting reflecting a different side of Maríma’s transformation and the concept of rebirth.
What moment from the day did you love?
Seeing the different looks come together and watching the concept evolve throughout the shoot. Each set brought something new, making the final vision feel complete.
